My friend and I had a lovely 3 night stay at The Collingdale. Received a warm and genuine greeting from Sharon and all who keep Collingdale running beautifully, immediately feeling very at home and comfortable there. Breakfast was tasty and enjoyed the choice of kippers or haddock on some mornings along with my non-diary being accommodated for (thank you). Excellent location with beautiful views. Didn't want to leave! Hope to be back. Wishing all at The Collingdale the very best.. pleasure to meet you.
We really enjoyed our recent 5 night stay. Sharon and Daryl made us very welcome. We stayed in room 1 which was spacious, it faces the road but there was minimal noise. The bed was large and comfortable and the hospitality tray had a great selection. The breakfasts were delicious and the waitress was friendly and efficient. Thanks for a lovely experience.
We had an amazing stay at the Collingdale! The location is perfect, the hosts and staff are so friendly and welcoming, the rooms are great and the breakfasts are AMAZING! Would recommend booking the parking at £5 per night so you can park near to the guest house as the free parking spaces outside get filled up quickly. Don't delay in booking your stay at the Collingdale - it is amazing value for money and has everything you could possibly need!
What a wonderful B&B. We had the best ever breakfast each day of our 5 night stay, including a special smoked haddock dish. The full Devon (my favourite) was cooked to perfection using top quality ingredients, and was absolutely delicious. There is also a full selection of cereals, fresh fruit, juices etc. and toast with, once again, top quality produce. No lunches any day for us! Our room (2) was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean, with every possible amenity you might need, even bathrobes. Everything was replenished every day, including bottled water. We had a balcony with two seats, cushions, and a view of the harbour. With the early morning sun, and a cup of tea, this was a lovely start to every day. Sharon, Daryl, and Sue are the friendliest and most helpful people you could hope to meet. Great advice on where to go for walks, places to see, buses, restaurants etc. and excellent recommendations on all fronts for us. This was our first visit to Ilfracombe having stayed in many other locations in Devon and Cornwall. We would highly recommend The Collingdale, and this would be our first choice if we decided to visit Ilfracombe again.
A lovely place to stay. Sandra was a lovely host and we were in a room with a stunning view. Great breakfasts and very close to the harbour and the main town.
An absolutely amazing guest house. Sharon and Daryl were fantastic hosts. We arrived late to check in and Sharon stayed awake to welcome us. Cannot fault this Guest House at all. Stayed for 2 nights with my brother and mum (for mum's birthday). Sharon could not have done anything more for us. Right from booking it until arrival, communication was great. Suggested places to visit, restaurants, handy tips for our stay etc. Mum even got a box of chocolates and a card in her room for her birthday! Breakfast was superb. Rooms very light and airy. Lovely guest lounge with views, and an honesty bar (at very good prices)! Would thoroughly recommend this place. Sharon and Darryl are excellent hosts - and must not forget the lovely waitress. She was so efficient, polite and professional. Thank you for your hospitality, it really made the difference for this special trip away. Xx
Can’t fault this place. The breakfast is amazing. Sharon and Daryl Are wonderful, kind and helpful. Willing to go the extra mile. Me and mom have really enjoyed our stay so far Thursday until Sunday. Would definitely recommend this place. Location is perfect , rooms are lovely and spacious. Beds are really comfy, parking outside and a 20 second walk away if you pay for the private parking really good idea !
